1. Fill the scoop with ground coffee2. Position the filter cup atop the scoop, and transfer the coffee into it3. Replace the filter on top of the main unit4. Securely screw the outlet head onto the main unit5. Pour boiling water into the water compartment6. Firmly attach the main unit to the water compartment7. Release the piston by twisting it to the left8. Hold the portable espresso maker over your cup and begin pumping9. The initial 6 pumps will saturate the filter cup with water. Keep pumping until espresso starts to flow
